SERMIG – ‘LA MEIRA’ IN CRISSOLO

About This Project

A disused hotel building is completely restored, combining tourism interest with social activism of Sermig Association: Renovated building is conceived for tourists and hikers attracted by Monviso Natural Park, but also for kids and school groups that will be hosted here, to promote educational experiences in a natural environment. Renovation aims to revitalize the building but also the surroundings, this area lost attractiveness in past years, when the ski run was closed and resident population decreased in time. Intervention gives new life to the cultural heritage of this place, highlighting the vernacular identity and rediscovering the natural environment around.
