DOSA – ARCHEOLOGICAL CENTER

About This Project

Placing the museum complex within the archaeological and naturalistic area of Sarcapos means acting a mending in the site’s orography, restoring the landscape balance partially compromised by the invasive presence of the two large water tanks on the hill. The introverted nature of the underground museum, which relates to the archaeological excavations and the ancient monumental architecture attested on site, is softened by the glazing facing the river and the excavation area. The front facing the river is a direct extension of the museum spatial entity and the surrounding environment, so the user can benefit of the panoramic views of the river park.
